Automated Payroll Services
Through a partnership with ADP (Automatic Data Processing), Bank of Upson and Meriwether Bank & Trust can handle all aspects of your employee payroll. Employees will receive a paystub with pay-period and year-to-date information (includes deductions for 401(k), insurance, taxes, etc. . .) Or we can produce payroll checks for your employees. We also will calculate and electronically file all payroll taxes. The Automated Payroll Services also includes compilation and production of employee W-2s and detailed reports showing breakdown of payroll and taxes. Bank of Upson/Meriwether Bank & Trust has provided payroll services for business customers for more than 25 years. Through our partnership with ADP, we can offer business customers a higher quality service at a more competitive price. Any questions or problems that may arise will be handled by the bank. Merchant Services Program
Bank of Upson and Meriwether Bank & Trust can set you up with a credit card terminal that accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express for easy electronic clearing. These funds arrive in your checking account within two to three business days. The only costs involved are a discount rate, which is a small percentage of each transaction that goes to the bank for the guarantee of your payment. This rate is based upon your average sale and monthly volume. We charge among the lowest discount rates of any bank. In order to process credit cards you will need a credit card terminal, which you can rent at a low monthly fee or buy at a low wholesale cost. If you already have a terminal, we can reprogram it at no additional cost to you. There is a monthly statement fee that includes terminal support, statements mailed to you and local help in an emergency. Internet Cash Management
With Internet Cash Management, you have the information you need to take control of your company’s finances. You'll have access to current account information such as balances and account transactions, so you can pay bills and make other expenditures with confidence. It also allows you to transfer funds between your accounts. You can even make tax and loan payments online. If you need to transfer funds to or from another financial institution, you can transmit wire transfer instructions using this system. Internet Cash Management gives you more control of your time as well as your money. Our Cash Management service provides you with detailed transactions on your accounts, so you don't need to interrupt your busy schedule to make trips to the bank, or to waste time waiting in line to find the data you need. The fee for this service is only $9.95 per month (additional fees for wires and ACH transactions).
