About Us
Our History
Bank of Upson was established in 1951 to serve the financial needs of the people of Upson County. Our customers enjoyed the friendly service and fast local decisions on loans, and so we grew. Since then, the bank family has grown to include six full-service banking offices in Thomaston, Manchester, Warm Springs, Luthersville and Tyrone operating as Bank of Upson, Meriwether Bank & Trust, and SouthCrest Bank. Bank of Upson offers a full array of banking services, including mortgage loans, home equity lines of credit, consumer loans of all sorts, overdraft privilege on qualified accounts, free online banking with images, merchant services, and a Trust department. We also have an investment services division, SouthCrest Investments. Bank of Upson is part of the SouthCrest Financial Group family of community banks, which also includes First National Bank of Polk County (Cedartown, Georgia) and Peachtree Banks (Maplesville, Alabama)
and Bank of Chickamauga (Chickamauga, Georgia).
